going to get that through our thick skulls? We kill ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally trying to look like Tyra. Don't get me wrong, I love Tyra but that's not who you or I are suppose to be (or look like). But we try nonetheless. When we diet, we diet with the expectancy of results lasting only to fail time and time again. You are setting yourself up to fail when you start cutting out things you love - like food. Of the people who diet, 90-95 percent of them fail on the diet and then if they do lose some weight they gain it all back with interest. There is a pattern here that is not easily recognizable. See if you see yourself in this pattern.

  • Look in the mirror and think "I need to lose some weight"
  • Search for or pinpoint a specific diet you want to go on
  • Buy all the ingredients and tools needed for said diet including pills of any sort
  • Start diet on a Sunday or Monday (you never start a diet in the middle of the week)
  • Motivated and going good for the first couple of days or even week. You even loose about 5 lbs. (mostly water)
  • You're starting to get bored with the diet regimen, you smell your co-worker's lunch or the office orders pizza for a working lunch
  • You tell yourself you'll go off the diet just this once and then get back on it tomorrow
  • You eat 3 slices of cheese crust pepperoni and sausage pizza
  • Tomorrow never comes
  • You kick yourself for failing the diet OR you say why should I deprive myself
  • Weeks, months maybe a year passes and you find another diet. Determined to loose weight.
Motivated - process starts over again.
